Meet Dr. G!

Hello All! I'm Dr. G. I obtained a doctorate in Education Leadership for Social Justice. I am a native of Tampa Bay, Florida who has lived in the Bay Area, California for over 8 years! I have been in the field of education for 20 plus years in various roles including middle school Language Arts teacher, independent tutor, and school counselor. In some of these roles, I have served as the 504 coordinator as well as provided academic instruction and counseling services to students who have Individualized Education Plan (IEPs). Additionally, I have also supported students in tutoring who have 504 plan or IEP. I have held teaching credentials in the area of journalism and English. I currently hold a pupil personnel credential for school counseling in California. Also, I have extensive experience creating social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum, school wide events, parent/guardian and family workshops, and staff professional developments! I have also created SEL-infused academic lessons that has been utilized with summer camps and science curriculums nationwide. I created the Upstander's Club and won a national award with PACER National Bullying Prevention Center. I implement approaches that support students, parents/guardians, as well as educators to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
